Child safety standards
AKVega has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion and any sexualisation of minors.
How Aura is designed to protect young people
- 13 and older only. Sign-ups under 13 are blocked, with a 30-day lock on the device.
- No private contact between strangers. There are no direct messages, no replies, no photos and no profiles. People in rooms see only a fresh name for each room and a small set of gestures.
- Age is never shown. Nobody can see anyone's age or date of birth.
- Contact details are blocked. Phone numbers, links, handles and meet-up requests are filtered out of reflections before anyone sees them.
- Extra protection for under-18s. Stricter automatic checks apply whenever someone under 18 is in a room, without singling anyone out.
- A dedicated safety lane. Grooming signals, reports that someone may be under 13 or targeting a young person, and suspicious gifting patterns go to a priority human review lane.
Reporting
Anyone can report a person, gesture or reflection from inside the app, with reasons including "Someone may be under 13" and "Seems to be targeting a young person". You can also email our child safety point of contact, Kalyan Kumar Bedugam, at akprojects1431@gmail.com.
What we do
- We remove CSAM and CSAE content as fast as possible and within the 2 hours India's IT Rules require.
- We ban the accounts and devices involved and preserve evidence as the law requires.
- We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to Indian authorities (including the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal) as required by law, including POCSO.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests made through lawful process.
If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (112 in India) or Childline on 1098.
