Delete your Aura account
This page explains how to delete your account in Aura, published by AKVega, and what happens to your data.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Aura and go to Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete my account.
- Read what will be deleted, then confirm.
Your phone is cleared and signed out straight away.
Without the app
Email akprojects1431@gmail.com from any address with the subject "Delete my Aura account". We then send a confirmation link to the email address on your Aura account, so only the account holder can confirm. Once you confirm, deletion starts.
What gets deleted
Your check-ins and notes, voice notes, capsules and their photos, habits, Starlight and your Aura's growth, room activity and reflections, keepsakes, encryption keys, device tokens, your profile including your date of birth, and your sign-in account.
Timing
You have 7 days to change your mind: signing in again during that time keeps your account. After 7 days everything above is permanently deleted, always within 30 days of your request.
What is kept, and for how long
- Purchase and tax records, with the link to your account removed, for as long as the law requires.
- Evidence about content that was reported for breaking the law or our rules, for up to 180 days.
- Moderation audit entries that contain only a one-way code, not your identity.
